Cambridge HFT Airgun Club Rules
1. Club rules are to be adhered to at all times. Any member found to be in breach of the rules may forfeit his/her membership, and any monies paid
at the discretion of the committee members.
2. Safety is the clubs main priority. Any member found to be in breach of safety regulations as laid down specifically within this document or spoken
verbally during pre shooting safety briefings will be subject to disciplinary action and rule 1 may apply.
3. Any dispute during shooting will be settled by one of the committee members or marshals only. Committee members may wish to consult on a
decision but their verdict on the outcome is final.
4. Any member found to be deliberately adopting practices which may lead to loss of club revenue and constitute a direct libel action against
Cambridge HFT Airgun Club will forfeit his/her membership and any monies paid.
4a Members subject to disciplinary action taken by the Cambridge HFT Airgun Club committee reserve the right to challenge any such action.
Written communication stating the reason for any such challenge must be forwarded via the club secretary within 14 days.
5. Any member deemed to be acting not in the best interests of Cambridge HFT Airgun Club will forfeit any membership including monies paid and
may be subject to a ban from all meetings taking place on club property at the discretion of the Cambridge HFT Airgun Club committee.
5a. Cambridge HFT Airgun Club adopts a policy of shooting for all and without prejudice. Any member found to be disregarding this concept will be
subject to disciplinary action. Rule 1 may apply.
6. Any member found to be causing damage to club property or the site will be required to answer to the committee. The committee reserve the
right to terminate membership or impose lesser restrictions on the individual concerned. Rule 1 may apply.
6a. Members who have had their membership terminated for any reason may re apply for membership after a period of not less than 6 months from
the original termination date.
7. All membership fees are to be paid annually by the 1st of June, any new members will get a pro-rata rate. Failure to ensure membership
payments are made on time may prevent members from application to shoot for Cambridge HFT Airgun Club during any national events.
8. All club expenditure is recorded by the club treasurer and should any member have a legitimate claim for expenses then receipts should be
forwarded to the treasurer for payment.
9. Any member may suggest improvements that might be made at the club at a future date and that would involve financial implication.
The committee cannot guarantee that any suggestion will be implemented but will consider any such ideas for action.
10. Cambridge HFT Airgun Club is covered by its own liability insurance. However this does not cover individuals actions which result in injury to
themselves or others, unless found to be caused by Cambridge HFT Airgun Club failure to ensure as far as practically possible that the site and all
activities carried out at the site are done so in such a way as to minimize any risk involved.
Members and visitors alike are reminded that should they note anything that is likely to pose a hazard while at the site, to report it immediately to a
committee member for investigation and for corrective action to be taken as required.
11. No targets or other club property are permitted to leave the site unless with permission of the committee members.
Loaned items should be signed out in the club inventory book which can be found in the office caravan.
No items may be loaned without committee approval.
12. Any person found to or suspected of breaking the 15mph speed limit whilst at the club will receive a warning. Should the person fail to comply
again then the committee will decide on what action to take against the member or visitor concerned. Rule 1 may apply.
13. Cambridge HFT Airgun Club operate as a UKAHFT affiliated club and as such at shoots designated as to UKAHFT specification, all UKAHFT
current rulings must be adhered to.
13a. Current UKAHFT rules can be found on the UKAHFT website if required.
14. All shooters must attend the pre shoot safety briefing. Failure to do so will result in instant disqualification from the event.
Continued failure to attend briefings will result in rule 1 applying.
15. Any member may be approached for admission on to the committee with a minimum of two existing committee members approval.
16. Dogs are allowed on site but must be kept on a lead at all times.
